Photo QR code generator
Put your own picture inside a QR code. Your pet, your shop, your logo or your wedding photo. It still scans.
Checking that it scans…
Made on your device. Your code never expires and never goes through our servers.
How a photo QR code works
A QR code is a grid of dark and light squares. A phone only needs to tell dark from light. So we fill the grid with your photo, then put a small dot in each square. Each dot takes its colour from your photo, but is made dark or light enough for a phone to read.
The three big squares in the corners stay black and white. Phones use them to find the code. That is why they never change.
Tips for a photo that scans well
- Pick a photo with one clear subject, like a face or a logo.
- If the code does not scan, move the "How much photo" slider down a little.
- Round dots look softest. Square dots scan best from far away.
- Short links make fewer squares, so more of your photo shows.
- For print, choose the Large size and keep the white border around the code.
Does my photo get uploaded?
No. The code is made in your browser. Your photo and your text never leave your device. We cannot see them.
Will the code stop working?
No. Your link goes straight into the code, not through our website. It keeps working even if QRVivid closes.
